What is A New Testament Trilogy?
A New
Testament Trilogy
looks at the three key issues of the Christian life:
Our God, Our Self, and
Our Community – revisiting what the New
Testament has to say about the nature of God, the nature
of our identity in Christ, and the nature of the Church
as God’s Kingdom community.

What are the Trilogy Resources?
From this
journey of rediscovery twelve tools
have been developed based on the discipleship practice of
Jesus. These are developmental experiences
and training materials designed along the principles
found in A New Testament Trilogy. They are
both learning environment and
training content. The purpose of these resources
is to intentionally, relationally and organically shape
leaders and their congregations. Designed for simplicity
and ease of use, the resources will be available for
download via this website, and include text,
presentation and multimedia files. More resources
will be added through 2008. Below are brief
descriptions of each resource.
This
training tool begins the discipleship pathway and will
help develop men and women into disciples of Jesus that
know who they are in Christ, know their capacity for
life in the
Kingdom
of God, and know their destiny. More simply, to know why
they are here and who they are.
Foresight helps us understand how God’s hand has been in
our lives since our birth. How He has shaped us to be
the people we are, giving a passion for life and a clear
understanding of why you were created.
Training
tool for use with pastors and church leaders wrapped
around the core Trilogy concepts. This is the doorway to
understanding Trilogy and using Trilogy resources. The
Crossing is an extremely dangerous encounter with Jesus
in which participants evaluate their identity, ministry
and ecclesiology. Not for the faint of heart, this
encounter with God will ruin you for "church as usual."
This tool can be used for leadership development in the
local church, helping those leaders move into a deeper
understanding of who God is, who they are in Him, and
what the Church is supposed to be from a biblical
perspective.
InFusion is a eight-session leadership training
tool based on core New Testament concepts. An excellent
resource for introducing the organic principles taught
by Jesus.
A
simple process for making new disciples the way Jesus
did – taking discipleship beyond the classroom into
every aspect of life. Something you can do, and
something you can teach others to do. Based on Jesus’
principles of ministry. Making disciples is what Jesus
has commanded us to do, and this resource can be used
either as a self-study tool for leaders or as a
development process for a church leadership team.
The
only limitation on the harvest is laborers (Luke 10:2).
Start making leaders from the harvest for
the harvest. Journey provides both content
and context for pastors who want
to develop leaders in their local church. This resource
will help you develop a leadership track that fits both
your gifting and your church environment. Use it as a
self-study tool or to take your leadership team through
it as a means of making your own system.
In the
western world, there are not enough churches or enough
pastoral leaders to fulfill the mandate of the Great
Commission. Emerge is a resource designed to help
you develop shepherds – pastors for existing churches,
staff pastors and church planters. This is the same
process used in Praxis training world-wide, and will be
available for you to use.
The
Quest is church planter intensive training for use with
church planters, their spouses and core community team
members. The Quest is a principle-based, non-model
specific, three day intensive designed to help those
involved in forming a new Christian community think
through and develop a step-by-step plan as to how they
will implement their vision. Resources include these
files: Facilitator's guide, participant’s workbook and
the associated PowerPoint presentation.
Denominational Leaders: Quest can be used by
your group.
Ask us how.
Vista is a pastoral and church health assessment tool developed around the Irreducible Core (IC) of the Christian faith, namely loving God, loving others and making disciples. These three elements of the IC become the evaluation criterion for the pastor in their life and ministry as well as for the life and ministry of the congregation which they lead.
The
resource is broken down into
three phases - the first
phase is the pastoral health
assessment. The second phase
assesses the environment and
the core ministry processes
of the church. The third
phase is a resourcing
dialogue based on the
information gathered from
the first two phases,
focusing on what is needed
to improve the health and
vitality of the pastor and
the church.

Denominational and network leaders: Interested in developing your existing churches using the Trilogy Resources as a holistic, integrated process? If so, LifeFlow could be for you. LifeFlow is a consultation process which allows you to re-orient churches around the spiritual DNA of the “Irreducible Core of the Christian faith” – loving God, loving others and a lifestyle of disciple making (Matthew 22:37-40, 28:18-20). We can train your leadership team to work with your pastors to enhance their relationship with God, and develop relational and ministry skills with the result of more and better disciples being made in their churches.
