The Praxis Mission

Much of our focus in the training and development of Church leaders in America today – whether it is clergy or laity – is built around an academic process that is focused on giving the student a good understanding of theology. Orthodoxy is the goal of this approach, as we are rightly concerned about heretical teaching, and that our leaders become competent in understanding and communicating core Biblical truths.

Competency as a teacher of the Word is not all that is needed to lead a congregation. Much of our academic training falls short in equipping the Christian leader with the skills needed in implementing high-quality and effective ministry in today’s post-modern American society. Having good theology is important, but being able to implement it through life-transforming ministry is another.

The Praxis Center for Church Development is dedicated to the extension of the Kingdom of God through the health, growth and multiplication of local Christian churches and local church leaders.

Through a focus on developing the awareness and strategic ministry skills of the leadership of the Church – at the national, regional and local church level – we seek to see more and better local churches reaching the harvest.
