Greetings, Hello and welcome to another edition of The Uprising, delivering to you News of the Revolution! Be sure to read our articles, register for our church planters intensive, or find out more about our available resources. As always, Join the Revolution! Tom Johnston & Mike Perkinson
by Mike Chong Perkinson Any developmental process must consider the aspect of becoming; that is, dealing with the growth of the organism from a single cell into multiple cells. In other words, it is not so much what an organism is that is critical but what it is becoming. The purpose of a thing defines the essence or the nature of a thing. When it comes to church growth and leadership issues, the emphasis tends to fall towards function and the goals the group is pursuing.
by Tom Johnston Very often when we discuss the issue of leadership development in the local church we are really discussing how a particular church develops leaders to serve within the context of that specific church. Most of us as pastors are engaged in leadership development for the needs of our own ministry. Certainly, such leaders are needed, but let us suggest to you a broader view, a Kingdom view.
Phoenix, AZ - October 23- 25 The deadline for registration is September 26th! Register now to attend! The Quest Church Planter Training Intensive is designed to provide late-stage, implementational planning process for establishing a new church community. The training provided is non-model specific, principle-based instruction derived from the ministry process of Jesus. Because of this, Quest can be used in any ethnic environment or socio-cultural setting. Using these principles, the event helps the planter and their team to develop a "pathway" for starting the new church which they envision.
Beyond Church Planting is a church planting resource for use by those who want to start a new church and do it organically. Authentic Kingdom ministry flows out of who God is ... who we are ... how we relate to each other ... and how we fulfill God's purpose for His people.
The Trilogy Resource stream and web library are expanding. Trilogy has downloadable tools for pastors, denominational leaders and church leaders. Dive in and explore.
